GROUND/SAFETY RULES

  1. Treat every gun as if it were loaded and with the utmost respect at all times.

  2. Do not point or fire your gun at anything other than a clay pigeon.

  3. Your gun should only be closed, loaded and ready to fire, whilst at a designated shooting stand.

  4. If your gun is loaded and ready to fire, the barrels should only be pointing towards the shooting area.

  5. Do not turn round in a stand (partly or fully) whilst shooting at a clay pigeon.

  6. While carrying a gun around the ground it should be OPEN; OR HAVE ITS BOLT BACK WITH A FLAG DISPLAYED OR BE IN A GUN SLIP and be empty at all times.

  7. Always check that your barrels are clear before loading and after any malfunction.

  8. No alcohol is allowed on the shooting ground.

  9. Cartridges:- Bio-degradable Wads Only please, (e.g. Fibre, Felt, Biowad) Max. shot size 6

  10. Training is only permitted on the training/novice stand, but guidance may be given from a safe distance.

REMEMBER - BREAK CLAYS, NOT RULES!
